The main symposium will take place on Friday, March 31st 2017 in Hansen House, Jerusalem
On Thursday, March 30th 2017, guided excursions will take place in Lifta.
Featuring guest speaker Mónica Luengo Añón, landscape architect, Honorary President of the Scientific Committee for Cultural Landscapes at ICOMOS, and advisor to international and world cultural heritage sites.
The conference will focus on cultural landscapes, through the case study of the village of Lifta and its surroundings. Avi Mashiach and his conservation staff at the Israel Antiquities Authority will speak about their in-depth survey conducted at the site over the past two years.
The conference and its tours will be joined by Lifta residents and experts in various fields relating to the story of the village.
